What Interest-Led Learning Actually Looks Like Day to Day
People hear "interest-led learning" and picture children running wild with no structure. That's not what we do.
Structure matters. Rhythm matters. What changes is the *content* that fills the structure.
Our week has consistent anchors: morning reading, a project block, outdoor time, and a creative hour. But what happens inside the project block follows wherever curiosity leads that week.
This month: started with Minecraft redstone circuits → moved into basic electronics → ended up building a simple LED circuit on a breadboard together.
That's physics, spatial reasoning, cause-and-effect logic, and — crucially — the experience of building something real that works. No worksheet required.
The key is staying curious yourself. Your child's interests will take you to places you never expected.
